Help Haiti
On January 12th, a series of massive earthquakes devastated the small country of Haiti. The amount of people killed, injured, and displaced by the disaster is staggering, and they need our help. Globus Relief is a non-profit organization that partners to provide life saving medical and healthcare resources to people in need. Globus Relief has already provided goods that are needed immediately in Haiti which include: blankets, medical supplies, hygiene, surgical instruments and nutritional products. Their expert shipping staff is monitoring the transportation problem of closed sea ports in Haiti and working on alternative delivery options to get future loads into the country.
Globus has an assessment team in Haiti now to work on what the long term needs will be for rebuilding the healthcare system. The Globus Relief core competency is gathering, packaging and delivering appropriate medical equipment and supplies that will be needed for the rebuild. They also have the expertise to help diagnose and assess needs, design solutions that will best meet the needs, and provide the equipment, furniture and supplies to reopen or build hospitals and clinics.
