Innovation Keynote Series
Grapevine Ballroom – Gaylord Texan Hotel and Convention Center
Thursday, September 24th 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

Marcus Osborne
Senior Director of Business
Development – Healthcare
Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.

Perhaps no organization in America is impacted more by healthcare than Wal-Mart and Sam's Club. From employing over 1.4 million US citizens (2 million worldwide) to providing low cost medications for their customers, to partnering with suppliers and providers to offer better healthcare solutions - Wal-Mart has a strong competitive interest in innovative solutions to provide more affordable, quality care.

This Keynote presentation will focus on Wal-Mart's efforts to improve healthcare delivery in the United States through innovative supplier partnerships, such as the recent product offering with Dell and eClincalWorks to provide an electronic medical records solution; the transformation of the pharmaceutical supply chain by offering $4 prescriptions; and how Wal-Mart can impact the healthcare supply chain by working with providers and suppliers to more efficiently deliver goods and services.

The presentation will also address how Wal-Mart is working with providers such as the Mayo Clinic for specialized services for its employees; the introduction of wellness programs like 'Life With Baby' to improve the well-being of their associates; and what they believe the future will be for employer-provided health coverage.  Marcus will also discuss possible solutions to address the issues driving healthcare, including his view on federal legislation now being debated. Marcus will also answer your questions and discuss ways in which Wal-Mart can work with your organization to offer new and innovative healthcare solutions.
