Wednesday Activities
Join us Wednesday, April 13, for a morning of education and networking to wrap up another successful IDN Summit. This Spring, we’re offering opportunities to play in a Golf Scramble, give back with our Teambuilding opportunity, and enjoy a last chance to network at Breakfast provided by the IDN Summit Staff. Learn more about these offerings below.
Golf Scramble (Pre-Registration Required.)
Wednesday, April 13, 2022 7:30 AM - 12:00 PM
Enjoy the Florida sunshine in April on a nationally acclaimed golf course designed by International Golf Champion Greg Norman. This unique course offers authentic links-style golf reminiscent of the great courses of the British Isles and Ireland with sprawling greens and wind-swept dunes. See how your score compares to past players such as Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, and many more.
While playing golf on this masterpiece, you will also be a part of one of the best networking opportunities of the IDN Summit. There is truth behind the saying, “business is done on the golf course”, especially when surrounded by peers, partners, and partners in the making. With an array of food and drinks on the course and a lunch reception to follow, there will be no shortage of connections and fun to be had.
Open to Provider, GPO, and Supplier attendees, this 4-person scramble will both test your skills and allow for a chance at a lasting impression in one final opportunity to network while in Orlando. Golf is limited to the first 18 Foursomes/72 players.
If you have any questions or want additional information contact Logan Sparks by email or at 859.523.5701.
Teambuilding Event
The Pitch
Wednesday, April 13, 2022 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM
In this creative and challenging event, suppliers work with buyers on teams that are required to create, market and pitch a product or service to an IDN.
Your group will learn how to:
- Identify individual strengths
- Practice the art of delegation
- Work under pressure
- Develop communication skills
- Utilize teamwork and leadership skills
Teams aim to fulfill a range of business objectives in a logical order – everything from designing and creating a prototype for their idea, photographing an ad campaign, videotaping a jingle, doing “man on the street” interviews with their target market and more. Teams are encouraged to “blue sky” their ideas – anything goes, even if it’s not possible yet!
Throughout the event, teams earn additional points with bonus business challenges. These bonus challenges include guessing the brands responsible for the popular slogans shown and figuring out which three famous business moguls faces were merged together in a photo.
At the end of the event, everyone gets to see highlights from all teams’ pitches. But the teams at the top of the scoreboard are invited to pitch their product to their peers. The group then uses the technology within the app to vote for their favorite team in an exciting finale that will have teams on the edge of their seats! The winning teams will then get money to donate to a non-profit of their choosing, based on if they came in first, second or third.
