Based on his experience serving on the White House COVID Joint Acquisition Task Force, Dr. Handfield will share insights on the fragility of the medical supply chain for medical products and medicines. He will draw from his experiences as well working with the SMI Council, the FDA, and other members of his executive network, in describing the requirements to build “immunity” to disruptions that threaten the resiliency of our nation’s medical supply chain. His recommendations for policy and incentives will also be described.
