Shannon Hunt is a leader in EY healthcare consulting practice, bringing over 20 years of experience driving transformation across the healthcare industry.
A nurse by training, she has served as a medical sales leader, supply chain executive, vice president within a leading group purchasing organization, corporate dean, and consultant, bringing a rare, end-to-end perspective from product to bedside to enterprise strategy.
Shannon has led large-scale transformation initiatives for academic medical centers and integrated delivery networks nationwide, directing strategies across portfolios exceeding $35 billion in spend. She has also delivered more than $150 million in savings in a single year for a leading IDN. Her work focuses on reducing clinical variation, aligning physicians and operators, and translating data into decisions that improve financial performance and patient care.
In addition, she designed and implemented a 17-hospital system’s first enterprise-wide value analysis program and helped launch the industry’s first national certification for value analysis professionals, shaping how healthcare organizations approach evidence-based decision-making today.
Fun fact: Her family owns Lehner’s Pumpkin Farm in Ohio and was recently named the #1 pumpkin farm in the United States by USA Today. She now lives in California with her husband and their children.
