Idea Exchanges

Idea Exchanges are the perfect, collaborative ending to the IDN Summit experience. On Thursday morning, all attendees are invited to share their experiences concerning challenges impacting healthcare across four professional interest groups:

  • Supply Chain Leaders
  • Clinical & Value Analysis Professionals
  • Regional Purchasing Coalitions (RPCs)
  • National Account Executives

These interactive sessions are moderated by an industry leader in each of the above professional designations and actively encourage participation from attendees. While the moderator will guide the discussion, the real learning comes from the ideas exchanged by attendees. For more information about Idea Exchanges, contact Taylor Stapleton.

Supply Chain Leaders

Never has there been a more crucial time for healthcare supply chain professionals to collaborate on ways to improve care delivery. From implementing cost controls, evaluating continuity and diversification of suppliers, managing shortages, and minimizing the effects of disruptions, this year has forced supply chain professionals to service a rollercoaster of system demands. Further, as IDNs continue to move forward, increased pressures are being added to conduct a lean supply chain that is able to service an uncertain future. Through these interactive Idea Exchanges, supply chain professionals will be able to discuss the current challenges facing the healthcare supply chain, recent successes, the expanded responsibilities of the supply chain, and other valuable topics. These Idea Exchanges will allow you to get answers to your most pressing supply chain questions and discuss innovative strategies in a safe, open, and neutral environment.

Clinical & Value Analysis Professionals

Clinical & Value Analysis programs have developed into a foundational part of IDNs performance improvement activities, bridging the gap between clinical staff and the supply chain. Using evidence-based data, clinical experience, and an understanding of the Cost, Quality, and Outcomes (CQO) Movement, Value Analysis professionals take center stage in guiding the supply chain to solutions that maximize cost savings and ensure consistent, quality care. These Idea Exchanges will discuss current challenges facing value analysis programs, recent successes, product and practice benchmarks, regulatory issues, requirements to build and maintain a successful value analysis program, and other topics during what promises to be a lively discussion centered around the advancement of value analysis.

Regional Purchasing Coalitions (RPCs)

Regional Purchasing Coalitions (RPCs) provide incredibly value to their members through aggregate savings, innovative data analytics, collaborative resources, and customized service. As lean supply chain models are being rapidly adopted to meet the demands of mounting financial pressures in the wake of COVID-19, there has never been a more crucial time for purchasing coalitions to collaborate on ways to continuing leveraging their purchase power to lower costs, mitigate supply chain disruptions, and improve healthcare delivery. These Idea Exchanges will provide a unique forum for RPCs to discuss current challenges, recent successes, innovative strategies, and strategic priorities in the wake of COVID-19 in a safe, open, and neutral environment.

National Account Executives

Recent supply chain disruptions have drastically changed the way healthcare providers conduct business in nearly all areas of their operation, especially in how they source and purchase products and services. Collaboration between suppliers and providers is more imperative than ever before. During this interactive pair of Idea Exchanges, we’ll discuss what collaboration really means, the impact of risk sharing agreements, how to navigate the Cost, Quality, and Outcomes (CQO) Movement, and insights from the week’s educational breakout sessions. These Idea Exchanges will allow you to get answers to your most pressing questions on how providers are currently viewing sourcing, value analysis, collaboration, and contracting in a safe, open, and neutral environment.
