Major General (Ret.)
Vincent Boles

Major General (Ret.)
US Army

In less than ten years the US trade deficit of medical equipment has more than doubled and much of the deficit has been the Chinese impact on the healthcare supply chain. This deficit was laid bare during the PPE sourcing nightmare driven by the COVID-19 pandemic, with China the home of over 50% of the world’s PPE products. Many constituencies are demanding increased sourcing of medical equipment and drugs manufactured locally but how realistic is that approach. Should the US shrink from the world economic stage or become a larger player?

Major General (Ret.) Vincent Boles led the most complex supply chain in the world through incredibly challenging times. General Boles understands the complexities of today’s world and the unique challenges we all face in running supply chains so dependent on other countries.

General Boles will lead us through the challenges the healthcare supply chain needs to confront to withstand future disruptions and suggest processes you should be implementing now to avoid future pitfalls from global sourcing.
