Description
The COVID-19 pandemic caused IDNs to quickly pivot and adapt to meet patient needs. Although the rapid rise of telehealth, reimbursable clinical services, and alternative care sites resulted from efforts to mitigate the risk of COVID-19 exposure, these new revenue opportunities will continue to be important revenue streams for IDNs post-pandemic. In this session, attendees will explore these new revenue opportunities and the strategic role pharmacy leaders’ play in both servicing and expanding these service lines. Attendees will learn practical steps to develop new revenue streams for their IDN, while also providing more convenient, quality care to patients.
Learning Objectives:
- Evaluate the opportunities for pharmacy operations, resulting from the increased use of telehealth and alternative care sites.
- Discuss best practices for maintaining stock and access to drugs used for COVID-19 treatments.
- Identify new revenue streams for IDN pharmacies and strategies to implement these new streams.
