Mark Abrams is an experienced healthcare professional that is currently the Regional Senior Director of Supply Chain Operations for Banner Health. In this role, he provides direction, planning and oversight for twelve of Banner’s Phoenix-based hospitals. He is responsible for daily Supply Chain Operations that includes driving cost savings and controls, standardization, eliminating waste, inventory management and implementation of new system contracts. Additionally, Mark is responsible for system-level work to ensure Banner’s long-term Supply Chain Initiatives are completed. Mark’s 30-plus years of healthcare experience have provided him with experience to lead departments that include Biomed, Facilities, Safety and Compliance, Contracting, Procurement, LUM Distribution, MMIS, Logistics and Sterile Processing. During his carrier, Abrams has also participated in opening five new hospitals and participates as a member of the Design & Construction team that continues to perfect the design for a flexible, efficient, and patent-friendly hospital. Prior to joining Banner Health, Abrams had leadership responsibilities at Abrazo Healthcare, Tucson Medical Center, Mayo Clinic Arizona, and Carondelet Healthcare, all hospitals within Arizona.
