Paul Kreder is a Principal in Deloitte Consulting’s Health Care Provider Supply Chain practice. He has 26 years of experience in the Health Care industry both as a Consultant and Interim Supply Chain Executive. His domain expertise includes leading large-scale Supply Chain Transformations including Operating Model & Organizational Redesign, Talent Development, Sourcing Spend Optimization, Supplier Diversity, Procurement Automation, Inventory Management & Control Optimization, Technology Implementation, and Digital Enablement.

He served as the Interim Chief Procurement Officer for Johns Hopkins Health System as well as the Interim President of the Nobilant Group Purchasing Organization from August 2018 – September 2019. During this time, he was also responsible for Commercial Operations of a brand-new,165k sqft. Consolidated Service Center and JHHS’s participation in the Supplier Diversity program BLocal.

Paul is presently leading the development of a Health Care Pharmaceutical & Supply Risk Mitigation Collaborative compromised of 4 Health Systems representing $7.7B of spend.

He has authored eminence works on the topics of Digital Enablement, Sourcing & Procurement, Supply Chain, and Shared Services. Paul has made contributions to industry blogs and podcasts and has spoken at a variety of Professional Conferences including Healthcare Financial Management Association, IDN Summit, Innovation Institute, Scottsdale Institute. He has been interviewed and/or quoted by Modern Healthcare, Gartner, and Reuters. Paul has satisfied the requirements of a Certified Material & Resource Professional (CMRP) and is presently a member of the Strategic Marketplace Initiative.

Paul received his BS in Management Systems and MS in Industrial Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY.
