Highlighted by her successful performances and several years of Supply Chain experience, she has been highly engaged in the Perioperative Services department as proactive team member managing the value analysis process and surgical specialty product formularies. Sue facilitates clinical product evaluations and assessments, coordinates in-services, educates colleagues, surgeons, suppliers and staff on value analysis processes, identifies, monitors, and measures value analysis initiatives, assesses procedure product variations, assists in contract negotiations, attends operational and capital budgeting meetings, manages product recalls and supplier substitutions, participates in supplier business reviews, and is a member of surgical division committee meetings. She collaborates and communicates with surgeons, staff and multidisciplinary teams to achieve quality decisions and outcomes. Sue has been instrumental in obtaining $6.1 million in network cost savings for the Perioperative Services Value Analysis Team over the past three years as facilitator and committee co-chair implementing process improvements beneficial to the operations of the network’s Perioperative Services department. Her achievement demonstrates quality leadership by engaging staff and clinicians in process disciplines and has proven success by supporting the organization’s strategic, operational and cost reduction initiatives.
