Alex Warman is the Administrator of Perioperative Business Services at Lehigh Valley Health Network. He has been with the Network for 19 years and has responsibilities including monitoring business operations for Perioperative Services including financial management, revenue capture, data analysis, budget development, value analysis, and resource/surgical block utilization.

As a highly adept healthcare leader, Alex has a proven record of facilitating and managing healthcare operations. Alex has operationally interfaced four newly acquired health systems. This included strategic partnering in developing relationships and providing relative departmental metrics in finances, surgery scheduling, laser surgery, surgical block management and charge posting audits. His skills and advanced understanding of perioperative operations assisted with the Perioperative scheduling and financial implementation of an electronic medical record system (Epic). Alex has also facilitated with patient mapping and operational flow by building interfaces for a new Children’s Surgery Center and Orthopedic Hospital and Orthopedic Ambulatory Surgery Center. This included evaluation of current and future service line block schedule, revenue cycle mapping and patient flow through the facility.

Alex has presented at national conferences including XGM-Epic, O.R. Business Management Conference, O.R. Business Manager keynote in 2018 “Using Business Services to Help Optimize the Patient Experience” and most recently: O.R. Manager in 2019 “Going for Gold with the Cost Saving Olympics,” a discussion on how to utilize clinical and non-clinical colleagues with cost saving ideas.

Alex has a BA in Music and Anthropology as well as a Pre-Medical Concentration from the College of the Holy Cross. He received his MBA from DeSales University in Healthcare Systems Management and is in the process of obtaining his Doctorate in Business Management at Liberty University. On a side note, Alex is a member of the American Federation of Musicians and has the played the cello for over 20 years across the country.
