The IDN Summit Supply Chain Forum is an emerging event for IDN supply chain management, healthcare suppliers and GPO leaders to discuss supply chain management trends and challenges. Attendees will experience peer learning, challenge long-held assumptions, and break-down barriers to foster a more efficient and patient-centered healthcare supply chain.

Wednesday, April 17, 2024
8:00 AM - 9:00 AM

This is the ultimate in learning from your peers as we examine opportunities and current challenges facing the IDN supply chain. Each participant will provide a brief glimpse of their IDN as LeAnn Born and Brent Petty organize these comments to build upon throughout the morning.

During this time, you’ll hear from your peers what they want to discover during the Forum as well as discover their best practices you can implement for your organization.

Learning Objectives

1. Discuss best practices that can be applied to your organization.

2. Discover new approaches to issues that have been successful at other organizations.

3. Identify ways you can assist others with their challenges.

4. Review challenges impacting your organization.

9:15 AM - 10:15 AM

This will be a group review of the most pressing topics that supply chain leaders submit in their pre-event survey questions.

Topics included for discussion are supply chain resiliency, labor shortages, contracting strategies, leadership development and retention, communicating with clinicians, the impact of onshoring versus global sourcing, improving logistics, inventory control, inflationary pressures causing price increases, and more.

This Group Learning Activity will afford the Facilitators an opportunity to segment IDNs into Learning Groups to foster more in-depth collaboration.

Learning Objectives

1. Examine strategies to mitigate challenges imposed by supply shortages.

2. Discover opportunities other supply chain leaders have found by innovative contracting strategies.

3. Review how other IDNs are coping with unexpected pricing inflation in their supply chain.

4. Identify best practices for organizational development.

10:30 AM - 11:30 AM

We'll finish the morning by sharing the opportunities we discovered during the second session of the Group Learning Activity.

Each group will take a deep dive into the processes and strategies that can be implemented to solve pressing issues and capitalize on the opportunities. Each presentation will afford ample opportunity for questions and added insights.

Learning Objectives

1. Identify ways to make the most of opportunities.

2. Outline successful implementation of best practices.

3. Evaluate the IDNs biggest roadblocks of implementation.

4. Define plan to obtain top-down organizational buy-in.
