Recently Becker’s Hospital Review reported more than 800 hospitals across the United States are currently at immediate or high risk of closure. With payments still coming in and expenses still being settled, it may take months into 2021 to know hospital’s 2020 margins. As a result, Hospitals and IDNs with strong balance sheets will look for merger and acquisition opportunities. What does this mean for local communities?
