Jim Francis is the Chief Supply Chain Officer at Mayo Clinic and responsible for enterprise-wide supply chain strategy, operations, and healthcare technology management. In 2024, Mayo expended more than $7.4 billion on supplies, pharmaceuticals, purchased services, and capital equipment. During his tenure, the dedicated team of professionals in supply chain management have launched or collaborated on the formation of eight (8) commercial businesses, including Captis Health, LLC., Supply Chain Solutions (freight management), Commit (Vizient), Alluma, Inspirity Health Partners and most recently a venture for service and maintenance repair of mobile medical equipment. Supply Chain Management is also responsible for Mayo Clinic Stores, twenty-two retail locations for medical supplies and DME.
Prior to his current position, Jim was Vice President of Supply Chain Management at BJC Healthcare in St. Louis.
