She sits on the Supply Chain Leadership Council, designed to promote collaboration between Capstone Members. She also serves on the Capstone Forum Planning Team as a liaison for the contracting team. Tabitha has participated as a council member of the Capstone Leadership Institute and was instrumental in its development from the start.

Tabitha has over 30 years of experience in healthcare. She began her career in the hospital setting as a Certified Surgical Technician working as a first assistant and technician. She managed the Sterile Processing Department and served as Director of Materials Management at Pardee UNC Health.

Kathy Chauvin is a Registered Nurse and a Certified Value Analysis Healthcare Professional through AHVAP. With over 35 years experience, Kathy has spent the last 16 years in Supply Chain Management as Director of Value Analysis at a non-profit, mission-focused Catholic healthcare ministry in the Gulf Coast region. Her expertise includes Clinical Value Analysis, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain Management, and Project Management. She has led highly diverse cross functional teams of both clinical and non clinical professionals reach their fullest potential using best practice and evidence-based methodology for new product and technology reviews, clinical value analysis, strategic sourcing, and contract implementation/management. Integrating value analysis and category management into every aspect of both clinical care and supply chain management serves as a conduit to achieve success as a clinically integrated supply chain team.

Serving as a physician executive with over 20 years of experience, he is dedicated to innovative and effective methods of delivering high-value, safe, patient-centered health care in a value-based environment. He has spoken at numerous national conferences as an expert on the development of physician leadership in optimizing the cost, quality, and outcomes of healthcare.

Dr. Chung received his MD from UC San Diego, completed his surgery residency at the University of Washington, received his MBA from the University of Massachusetts, and has practiced general surgery since 2000. He serves as second vice chair of the Washington Medical Commission and is the Chair of the Reduction of Medical Errors Committee. He is Board Certified in Surgery and Health Care Quality Management, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, as well as a fellow of the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians. Dr. Chung lives with his wife and two children and enjoys cycling and skiing.

MSI is an outsource corporate accounts firm that helps clients develop their National Accounts strategy, and gaining and implementing agreements with GPO's, IDN's, RPC's, Equipment Planners, and Government Sales. Prior, he held senior management positions at Stryker, SSI/Hill-Rom, Inc., STERIS/Hausted, and Skytron. His diverse responsibilities range from developing and implementing National Accounts, Equipment Planning Relationships, Government Contracts, Sales Management Strategies, and International Operations.

Dennis has been on the Federation of American Hospitals Exposition Advisory Committee for over 32 years. He has been part of Association of National Accounts Advisory Committee (ANAE), and Past Chairperson of HSCA/HISCI/HIDA. Also, an active moderator/speaker with the IDN and ACE Summit meetings.

Dennis has been both a speaker and has appeared in print on diverse topics including healthcare, government sales, sales management, national accounts, and international issues.

He is a graduate of Western Michigan University.

Dr. Arash Dabestani currently serves as the Dean and Professor at LIU Pharmacy. In this role, Dr. Dabestani builds on transformational synergies in drug discovery and generics with LIU’s health and science programs, including solidifying major digital health, clinical, and digital drug discovery partnerships with leading industrial, clinical, and educational entities. Prior to coming to LIU, Dr. Dabestani served as Senior Director of Pharmacy at NYU Langone. While at NYU Langone, Dr. Dabestani was responsible for leading a staff of 300 and managing an annual budget in excess of $250M, as well as transforming his department into one of the most well-regarded automated and technologically advanced departments of pharmacy worldwide. He is an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Fellow and has served multiple terms on the ASHP Section of the Pharmacy Practice Manager’s Leadership Development.

He has also helped manage the prescription drug benefit for Emory Healthcare and university employees. He currently reports into the Health system CMO. In addition, he is the administrator-on-call for the medical center on rotation basis, and a member of System Quality Council with remarkable achievements. His major research interests are in health outcomes, Health economics and quality.

Additionally, Farabaugh is responsible for system-level governance and strategy within the ancillary spaces to include pharmacy, radiology, laboratory services, respiratory care and construction services. Farabaugh has an extensive background in the management of multi-functional teams, resource utilization, financial analytics, processes engineering, and mergers and acquisitions. She previously served as vice president of general services and chief supply chain officer for Wake Forest Baptist Health in North Carolina. Her experience also includes positions with University of Florida Health and The Hershey Company. Farabaugh earned a master’s degree in business administration from Pennsylvania State University, and a bachelor’s degree in industrial and systems engineering from the University of Florida.

As an internal liaison to both clinical and non-clinical staff, she has been able to share how clinicians and supply chain partner with each other for improved clinical and financial outcomes and safety. She has extensive experiences in supply chain management, value analysis, program/project management, and patient safety with quantifiable success within healthcare organizations. Graham’s 32 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse validates her as a healthcare industry operations leader with a track record of successfully developing and improving programs and processes through collaboration, innovation and patient-centric focus.

Some of his many career accomplishments include providing healthcare organizations with innovative strategies to drive clinical and operational efficiencies in a rapidly changing medical device market. Bryan has held various leadership roles during his tenure at Vizient, both on the sourcing and consulting side of the national GPO business. Bryan also led a consulting engagement where he had direct oversight for 57 on-site resources tasked with providing subject matter expertise across orthopedics, cardiology, medical/surgical, imaging, laboratory, pharmacy and non-clinical related services.

Prior to joining Vizient, Bryan spent several years at Johnson & Johnson as a corporate accounts director. He led various teams responsible for selling the complete spine and biologics portfolio covering products dealing with the treatment of degenerative instabilities, fractures, tumors and deformities. He was also tasked with providing clinical expertise to orthopedic and neurosurgeons, while ensuring the C-suite and supply chain leaders were aligned relative to the clinical and economic value that was being provided.

To date, he has designed and implemented the Japan, China and Singapore distribution centers that supply thirty-two countries throughout the APAC region. Ross’s most recently served as the Director of Supply Chain for Asia Pacific and has relocated with his family to Bloomington, Indiana where he has taken up his current responsibilities of Vice President – Global Supply Chain. Jon held senior roles with multi-site, executive responsibility for various regional, North American, and global supply chain operating groups. He has experience in pulp & paper, consumer disposables, consumer electronics, and electric utility sectors. The majority of his 35 year career was spent with Kimberly-Clark Corporation, Sony, and the Tennessee Valley Authority – the Nation’s largest public power provider.

Jon now teaches supply chain operations with an emphasis on practical aspects of leading manufacturing, purchasing, distribution, and transportation teams. He also works closely with UT Supply Chain Forum members and other companies who are engaged in recruiting, organization development, and operations improvement. Additionally he serves as a Customer Emeritus Board member for Dallas-based ISNetworld.

Dan Hurry serves as the President of Advantus Health Partners and Chief Supply Chain Officer of Bon Secours Mercy Health. He is responsible for the operational management of the ministry’s supply chain function and oversees key functions for Advantus including finance, clinical transformation, strategic sourcing, pharmacy and lab services, procure to pay, digital, field operations, and business development.

Hurry previously served as, and currently serves as, the Chief Supply Chain Officer for Bon Secours Mercy Health. Prior to the merger Dan was the Chief Supply Chain Officer for Mercy Health. Before joining the ministry, he was the Senior Director and AVP of Supply Chain Operations at Tenet Healthcare, responsible for their Central Region and Texas. Prior to his time at Tenet he was with Baptist Health System as their Vice President of Supply Chain. Before transitioning into healthcare, he held leadership roles in manufacturing and product development in the industries of food, energy, and retail.

He received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the State University of New York at Fredonia. He received a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Dan has a personal interest and genuine passion for healthcare innovations and advancing the supply chain.

Brent Johnson has been one of the most successful and recognized supply chain leaders in healthcare in the last 13 years. He has over 30 years of experience developing supply chain strategies for major companies in three industries. Brent has a passion for supply chain best practices and wants to help the healthcare industry recognize the value of managing supply chain more strategically. He has spoken over 100 times at major conferences, written many articles, received key industry awards, and served on the board of directors of some of the leading industry organizations. From 2005 to 2015 Brent was Vice-President of Supply Chain at Intermountain Healthcare, creating an industry “Top 25 Gartner” Supply Chain Organization (#1 in 2016 & 2015) that achieved over $500 million in savings over ten years. In 2012, Intermountain Healthcare opened a new $40M, 325,000 sq. ft. Supply Chain Center considered one of the best in the industry. In 2014 Brent was inducted into the Bellweather League, which is a Hall of Fame for Healthcare Supply Chain Leadership. In August, 2015 AHRMM named Brent the recipient of the 2015 George R. Gossett Leadership Award. He has served on the boards of the Association for Healthcare Resource & Materials Management (AHRMM) 2012-2015 and Strategic Marketplace Initiative (SMI) 2011-2015). Before retiring Brent served one year as the President and CEO of Intalere when Intermountain Healthcare completed the purchase of Amerinet. Upon retiring in July, 2016, Brent and his wife spent 18 months in Oaxaca, Mexico as service missionaries for the Mormon (LDS) church. He has an MBA from the University of Utah. He resides in Centerville, UT and has four children and eighteen grandchildren.

Additionally, she consults in this area of practice, has presented the Reimbursement Update session at the ASHP Midyear for several years as well as working on Reimbursement issues with the ASHP Leadership Conference, ACCC, ACE, ASCO, Cancernet-US, IDN, state and local societies and multihospital groups. Bonnie authors 16 columns/year and has published an online multi-module self-teaching reimbursement course. Bonnie is the 2015 OSU Latiolias Leadership Award recipient. He completed a pharmacy practice residency at the Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston, WV. As a highly adept healthcare leader, Alex has a proven record of facilitating and managing healthcare operations. Alex has operationally interfaced four newly acquired health systems. This included strategic partnering in developing relationships and providing relative departmental metrics in finances, surgery scheduling, laser surgery, surgical block management and charge posting audits. His skills and advanced understanding of perioperative operations assisted with the Perioperative scheduling and financial implementation of an electronic medical record system (Epic). Alex has also facilitated with patient mapping and operational flow by building interfaces for a new Children’s Surgery Center and Orthopedic Hospital and Orthopedic Ambulatory Surgery Center. This included evaluation of current and future service line block schedule, revenue cycle mapping and patient flow through the facility.

Business Manager keynote in 2018 “Using Business Services to Help Optimize the Patient Experience” and most recently: O.R. Manager in 2019 “Going for Gold with the Cost Saving Olympics,” a discussion on how to utilize clinical and non-clinical colleagues with cost saving ideas.

Alex has a BA in Music and Anthropology as well as a Pre-Medical Concentration from the College of the Holy Cross. He received his MBA from DeSales University in Healthcare Systems Management and is in the process of obtaining his Doctorate in Business Management at Liberty University.
