Idea Exchanges

Idea Exchanges are the perfect, collaborative ending to the IDN Summit experience. On Thursday morning, suppliers were invited to share their experiences concerning challenges impacting healthcare across two professional interest groups:

  • Clinical & Value Analysis Professionals
  • National and Corporate Account Executives

These interactive sessions were moderated by an industry leader in each of the above professional designations and actively encourage participation from attendees. While the moderator will guide the discussion, the real learning came from the ideas exchanged by attendees. For more information about Idea Exchanges, contact Trey Beuttel.

Idea Exchanges by Professional Interest Group

Clinical & Value Analysis Professionals

Clinical & Value Analysis programs have developed into a foundational part of IDNs performance improvement activities, bridging the gap between clinical staff and the supply chain. This facilitated session will focus on the pain points and roadblocks faced during the unprecedented healthcare environment of 2020 from the value analysis and supplier attendee perspectives.  A variety of emerging topics will be explored such as key signals that helped identify when actions had to occur, discovery of new internal and external go-to resources, staff and physician willingness to adapt and change to new product introduction and other on-going value analysis pain points and emerging practices.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Evaluate current challenges facing value analysis programs.
  2. Discuss product and practice benchmarks as well as regulatory issues.
  3. Outline the requirements to build and maintain a successful value analysis program.

National and Corporate Account Executives

Recent supply chain disruptions have drastically changed the way healthcare providers conduct business in nearly all areas of their operation, especially in how they source and purchase products and services. Collaboration between suppliers and providers is more imperative than ever before. During this interactive pair of Idea Exchanges, we’ll discuss what collaboration really means, the impact of risk sharing agreements, how to navigate the Cost, Quality, and Outcomes (CQO) Movement, and insights from the week’s educational breakout sessions. These Idea Exchanges will allow you to get answers to your most pressing questions on how providers are currently viewing sourcing, value analysis, collaboration, and contracting in a safe, open, and neutral environment.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Discuss ways to encourage collaboration in the healthcare industry.
  2. Evaluate the impact of risk sharing agreements.
  3. Outline strategies to navigate the Cost, Quality, and Outcomes (CQO) Movement.
