Joe Bichler is the Vice President of Strategic Sourcing at Premier Inc., where he leads teams focused on portfolio competitiveness, value optimization, and supplier collaboration. He sets strategic direction to drive innovative sourcing strategies and strengthen supplier partnerships across the healthcare ecosystem.

Previously, Joe served as Associate Vice President at Advocate Health, where he architected and implemented an enterprise-wide Value Analysis Program, securing adoption across the system. He also guided contracting strategy by prioritizing value relative to clinical and operational complexity, aligning stakeholders post-merger. In parallel, he partnered on technology solutions to standardize intake, improve compliance, and enhance formulary visibility.

Joe has supported ERP and distribution conversions and contributed to organizations consistently ranked in Gartner’s Top 25 Healthcare Supply Chains. He holds a BS in Business Management, is completing his MBA at North Dakota State University, and is a Certified Clinical Value Analysis Professional and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
