Executive Exchanges

The IDN Summit is an executive-level event designed to support IDN leaders to accomplish their networking, product sourcing, and educational goals. In order to better support these goals and ensure ongoing collaboration, the IDN Summit offers IDN Executive Exchanges—bi-weekly virtual discussions designed for supply chain, pharmacy, and value analysis leaders.

Hosted by the IDN Summit’s Chief Relationships Officer, Brent Petty, these virtual discussions create a collaborative forum for both providers and suppliers to ask questions, gain practical solutions, engage in peer-to-peer learning, and network with other leaders from across the nation.

IDN Executive Exchanges are hosted by Brent Petty, Chief Relationships Officer at the IDN Summit. Petty boasts an illustrious career as a 12-year System Vice President of Supply Chain for Wellmont Health System as well as an executive industry consultant for Lexmark Healthcare. Petty is an admired and respected leader in the healthcare industry with distinct honors as 2015 Chairman of the Board of the Association for Healthcare Resource Materials Management (AHRMM) as well as a longtime IDN and ACE Summit faculty member.

Known for his industry knowledge and first-hand experience on both the supplier and provider side of healthcare, Petty is passionate about bridging the gap between these two groups. As host, Petty provides a forum for industry executives to engage in strategic conversations that provide practical solutions for their organization while also strengthening the healthcare supply chain industry.

Pricing Transparency – Supply Chains Role: Effective on January 1, 2021, the Price Transparency Rule (the “Rule”) requires all hospitals to make public a list of their standard charges for items and services via the Internet in a searchable, consumer-friendly format. This requirement is being enforced with the intent to enable healthcare consumers to make more informed decisions based on cost, and ultimately drive down the cost of healthcare services.
