Bill Obremsky has expertise in musculoskeletal trauma outcomes, fiscal analysis, and study design. He served as the Chairman of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association Evidenced Based Medicine Committee for 10 years. He has authored four chapters on Outcomes in orthopaedic trauma and three meta-analysis articles on orthopaedic trauma conditions as well as > 320 articles. He has served on the Steering committee of the Major Extremity Trauma Research Consortium (METRC) that has been awarded $130 million to conduct nine prospective randomized trials for the Department of Defense. Dr. Obremskey has been the principal investigator on four DoD projects. He is currently PI on a $4.5 million grant on early weight bearing of ankle and tibia plateau fractures and on PO vs IV antibiotics for infected nonunions. He has a clinical and research interest in Knee Dislocations, Scapula fractures and Necrotizing Fasciitis. He has a strong record of mentorship for orthopaedic trauma fellows, orthopaedic residents, and medical students.
